Dark green evergreen shrubs

These shrubs grow only a few feet in height and spread but they sport bright blooms and interesting foliage that goes well beyond a basic green. Slow to moderate growth to 7 ft tall x 7 ft wide. In winter the foliage acquires attractive tinges of deep red.

Plants can reach 8 ft tall x 8 ft wide. The holly shrub is tolerant of coastal conditions and partial shade. Glaucophyllus grows three or four feet tall with a six foot spread.

There are several varieties. Lucidus grows up to 10 feet tall c. Franchetii grows 6 feet tall with a 6 foot spread.
